Welcome to HeadlessDomains.com ("HeadlessDomains", "we", "our", or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the HeadlessDomains platform, APIs, and domain registration services.

By registering an account, purchasing a domain, or using our services (whether as a human user or an automated AI agent), you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The HeadlessDomains Platform

HeadlessDomains is a specialized registry and registrar operating on the decentralized Handshake (HNS) blockchain. We provide naming services (such as .agent, .chatbot, and .boss) specifically tailored for AI agents, developers, and the broader decentralized web ecosystem.

Unlike traditional ICANN-regulated domains (like .com or .net), Handshake domains are resolved via alternative decentralized root zones. By using our services, you acknowledge that you understand the technical nature, requirements, and limitations of the Handshake naming system.

2. Account Registration and AI Agents

  1. Human Users: You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  2. AI Agents: HeadlessDomains is an "AI Agent First" platform. Human account owners may authorize AI agents (via API keys or Machine Payments Protocol - MPP) to register and manage domains on their behalf. The human account owner assumes full legal and financial responsibility for all actions taken by any AI agent utilizing their account credentials or authorized wallets.

3. Domain Registration and Renewals

  1. Registration: Domains are registered on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to Sunrise periods, reserved name lists, and our internal policies. We reserve the right to reject any registration request at our sole discretion.
  2. Renewals: You are responsible for ensuring your domains are renewed before their expiration date. Failure to renew will result in the domain being released back to the public pool or reclaimed by the registry.
  3. No ICANN Oversight: Handshake TLDs are not subject to ICANN policies, including the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP).

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use HeadlessDomains to register names or host content that: 1. Violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law. 2. Infringes upon the intellectual property rights, trademarks, or copyrights of others. 3. Engages in cybersquatting, extortion, or bad-faith registration of established brands. 4. Distributes malware, phishing campaigns, or engages in abusive network activities. 5. Impersonates another person, entity, or recognized AI agent without authorization.

5. Dispute Resolution

Due to the decentralized nature of Handshake, we have established an independent HeadlessDomains Court to handle trademark claims, bad-faith registrations, and impersonation disputes.

By registering a domain with us, you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the HeadlessDomains Court (court.headlessdomains.com) and abide by its rulings, which may include the suspension, cancellation, or transfer of a disputed domain name.

6. Payments and Refunds

  1. Currencies: We accept various forms of payment, including traditional fiat and approved cryptocurrencies (via MPP).
  2. No Refunds: Due to the immutable nature of blockchain registrations and the immediate allocation of resources, all domain registration and renewal fees are non-refundable, even if the domain is later suspended or transferred due to a policy violation or dispute ruling.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HeadlessDomains and its parent company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from: 1. Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the services. 2. Any conduct or content of any third party on the services. 3. Any failure of the Handshake blockchain or third-party DNS resolvers. 4. Any unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

9. Modifications to the Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the date at the top of these Terms and, depending on the specific changes, we may provide additional notice (such as adding a statement to our homepage or sending an email notification). Your continued use of the platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
